SunBeam Buddies is looking for a Show Editor (unpaid)
The editor will piece together a vision based on the Director’s interpretation of the script. They will meet with the Director, occasionally going on location to experience the story as it is recorded on film from the Director’s point of view. The Editor will edit frame by frame as needed, to support the dialogue and complete each episode. Episodes are filmed in front of a green screen with an animated background superimposed during production so the Editor’s primary focus will be on adding key graphics to enhance the dialogue and performance of the characters on screen. The Editor will be working closely with the Show Creator, Animator, and Composer to prepare and revise footage and effects.
Required Skills and Software Knowledge
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
- Video editing experience
- Proficiency using computer-aided editing programs such as Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut Pro X
- Passionate and enthusiastic hard worker
- Must be able to assemble footage and meet film deadlines
- Excellent time management skills, the ability to turn a vision into reality, highly artistic
